Smart prison clothesline

In accordance with the relevant requirements of the Ministry of Public Security regarding the establishment of smart detention facilities and the elimination of hanging points, the SuGong team, together with the Detention Centers in Rugao City and Haimen City, Jiangsu Province, jointly researched and developed an intelligent clothes-drying rack that features centralized coordinated control, real-time display of load capacity, overload alarms, abrupt-load-change alarms, and automatic lowering of the drying rack to prevent accidents once an overload or sudden load change is detected.

On the central control console in the duty room and on the touch-screen displays at each detention ward, the real-time load weights of individual cells and laundry racks are displayed dynamically. Depending on the season and the number of inmates, monitoring parameters such as load-weight alarm thresholds, abrupt-load-change alarms, and sensitivity levels for responding to sudden load changes can be set. When abnormal conditions are detected, the system will proactively issue alerts and autonomously take appropriate actions.

At the site of each detention area and in the central monitoring control room, the raising and lowering of the clotheslines can be controlled. Under normal operating conditions, the clothesline will automatically stop once it has risen to the drying position and lowered to the hanging position.

When any clothesline rod experiences an overload or a sudden change in weight, the control system immediately triggers an alarm and displays the alarm location on the touch-screen display. It also issues a voice prompt and simultaneously lowers the clothesline rod to a safe, protective position, effectively preventing inmates from attempting suicide by hanging themselves.

The centralized console features automatic recording, storage, retrieval, and copying functions for dynamic information such as the load-bearing capacity of each cell and each clothesline.
