Damping-linked winch unit

Damping-linked winch unit

The damping-linked winch unit, developed and manufactured by the SuGong team, is commonly used in reciprocating traction applications for material carts. Users can operate any single winch independently, or they can configure the two winches to work in coordinated reciprocating motion in either direction. When the rope-retracting winch pulls the material cart, the steel wire rope of the rope-releasing winch automatically unravels with damping, following the movement of the material cart.

When linked, users can set the desired damping force on the control system’s touchscreen. At the same time, the dynamic damping force is displayed on the touchscreen in the form of bar graphs and numerical values, allowing users to easily grasp the information at a glance.

On the touchscreen of the control system, the traction force of the winch is displayed dynamically. Based on the magnitude of the load tension and the trend of resistance to motion, the system automatically determines the current load status of the winch: light load, over-anticipated resistance, heavy load, or a tendency toward jamming.

Based on the hoist’s load-bearing status and in conjunction with the user’s selection, the control system can respond autonomously as follows: When the load is light, the control system issues no warnings; when the load exceeds the pre-set threshold or surpasses the rated capacity, the system automatically triggers an alarm, reduces speed autonomously, and delays shutdown; when encountering obstacles, the system autonomously detects them and proactively reduces speed to safely navigate the obstacle, then resumes normal speed once the obstacle has been cleared; if a jamming trend is detected, the system will automatically shut down within 100 milliseconds.

The system automatically generates and stores graphs of wire rope speed, the resisting load force of the traction winch, and the damping force curve of the damping winch. Users can view and copy these graphs to analyze historical operating conditions and conduct research.

Basic characteristics

Function Description

Traction machine's pulling force demonstration The system dynamically displays the traction machine’s dynamic traction force in the form of bar graphs and numerical values on the touchscreen, enabling users to intuitively understand the current load resistance of the traction machine.
Traction machine speed display The system dynamically displays the traction machine’s current traction speed in the form of bar graphs and numerical values on the touchscreen, enabling users to intuitively grasp the machine’s current speed.
Damping force display of the damper The system dynamically displays the damper’s current damping force on the touchscreen in the form of bar graphs and numerical values, enabling users to intuitively understand the damper’s current damping level.
Damping mechanism speed display The system dynamically displays the damper’s current speed on the touchscreen in the form of bar graphs and numerical values, allowing users to intuitively grasp the damper’s current speed.
Judgment of Super-Predictive Load Blocking If the dynamic traction force of the traction machine exceeds the predefined threshold for the known load resistance set by the user, the system will automatically determine that the load resistance has surpassed the pre-defined threshold.
Autonomous response to super-precognitive load blocking In the event of an overload condition exceeding the preset threshold, the system can autonomously respond according to the user’s selection: issuing an alarm notification, automatically switching to low-speed operation, or shutting down immediately or with a countdown timer (the approach time for shutdown is correlated with the degree of overload).
Overload Determination When the traction machine’s carrying tensile force exceeds the rated tensile force threshold, the system will automatically determine that an overload condition has been reached.
Overloaded autonomous response In an overload condition, the system can autonomously respond according to the user’s choice: issuing an alarm, automatically switching to low-speed operation, performing an immediate shutdown, or initiating a countdown shutdown (the approach time for shutdown is correlated with the degree of overload).
Judgment of jamming When the traction machine’s load-holding tension exceeds the defined threshold for jamming tension, and the drum’s rotational speed or rope speed shows a tendency to become blocked, the system will automatically determine that a jamming trend is developing.
Autonomous response to blockage When the traction machine shows a tendency to jam, the system will automatically shut down within 100 milliseconds.
Autonomous response after overcoming the hurdle When the traction machine’s load tension reaches a threshold for crossing an obstacle, if the user has enabled the autonomous obstacle-crossing response function, the control system can autonomously detect the obstacle and proactively reduce speed to safely cross it. After successfully crossing the obstacle, the system will automatically resume its original speed.
